RAINFOREST PRESERVATION - Deforestation is occurring which is the removal of a forest or stand of trees where the land is thereafter converted to a non-forest use. Deforestation include conversion of forestland to farms, ranches, or urban use. It is estimated that about half of the world's original forests had been destroyed along with many animals and plant species that live in tropical forests. Our Rainforests are essential for a healthy ecosystem on our planet.
